General Assembly
The OPC membership meets annually at its General Assembly. The Assembly is chaired by Mr Paul Bird, President.
The OPC General Assembly holds elections and reviews and approves annual reports and financial reports. The OPC General Assembly also receives reports from the various National Paralympic Committees.
The composition, procedures and ways of working by the OPC General Assembly duplicate the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) in its bid to strengthen governance, compliance and the democratic nature of sporting governance which is critical to ensuring that sport as a human right and to fullfil the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The General Assembly continues to ensure that athletes remain at the heart of the Paralympic Movement in Oceania and that sport is promoted for people with a disability within Oceania.
The past few OPC General Assemblies have been held in conjunction with the ONOC General Assembly.
