Oceania Paralympic Teams Arrive at Paris 2024 Games Village

The Oceania Paralympic Committee is thrilled to announce that all our Pacific nations’ teams have today all officially arrived at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games Village.

Traveling from Vanuatu, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Kiribati and Solomon Islands our incredible athletes have touched down in Paris, ready to make their mark on the world stage. This moment represents years of preparation, sacrifice, and determination. And now, they are poised to compete among the world’s best in this global event.

As the teams settle into the Games Village, the Pacific spirit is evident. Excitement is building, and the energy is contagious as our athletes from across Oceania come together, united by a shared goal: to perform to their best, to enjoy the Games and to inspire the world.

The arrival of the Oceania athletes signals the beginning of a historic Paralympic journey for many of our competitors. They are ready to push beyond limits in two sports in Paris - Para athletics and Para taekwondo.

“Our athletes have arrived with one mission and that is to perform at their best and represent their nations and the Oceania region with pride, courage, and excellence,” said Paul Bird, President of the Oceania Paralympic Committee. “They will compete in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games and showcase the incredible talent and determination that exists within the Pacific. We are all incredibly proud and excited for what’s to come.”

“We invite everyone across the Pacific and the world to rally behind our Pacific athletes. Join us in sending messages of support, encouragement, and love through social media and the official channels of the Oceania Paralympic Committee. Let’s show our athletes that while they may be far from home, they have the entire Pacific cheering them on”.
